Hluhluwe Backpackers is set up in a very peaceful environment. Surrounded only by a few zuluhuts in a distance and the hills of the National Park. We are the closest spot to the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi National Park. Just a stone throw away (1.5km), we call our neighbours the Big Five. Enjoy a stunning 360 degree panorama view onto the hills of the game reserve and into real Zululand. At nighttime you've go the giggle of the hyenas in your ear and the glitering star-sky over your head.

Hluhluwe Backpackers offers a very warm and homely atmosphere in a unique and peaceful environment. Our main house has comfortable dorms and cosy double room, nicely decorated. Our outside chalet with double bed offers you lots of privacy. And for some more "adventure" we rent out 3 stationary parked caravans (as single, twin or double) with view into the park. There is lots of space for camping and caravans (with light and plug points) in the shade of many Marula trees and the chameleon forest.
The lounge and reception area, the “park pub” with cold beers and range of drinks or the large garden/outside area (big boma and braai area) offers you ample space to relax. Our self-catering kitchen is very well equipped with all cuttlery, crockery and utensils. There are gas stoves, fridge and freezer, microwave etc... and if you're not in the mood for cooking, let us spoil you with one of our tasty home cooked meals.
Hluhluwe Backpackers has a safe and secure area, safe and secure parking 24 hour access, and 24 hour check-in.
